This is a pendant from the Boldly Unique Collection. It features a Sleeping Beauty turquoise stone, set in sterling and fine silver, with a 18 karat rose and 24 karat yellow gold accents.
Design Details
This pendant has a width of about 19 mm (3/4 of an inch) and a height of about 24 mm (15/16 of an inch). It comes with an 18 inch snake chain that is 1 mm thick.
Turquoise
Turquoise is a form of hydrated copper and aluminum phosphate. It tends to form in dry desert areas deep underground. Turquoise has been a part of human adornment for thousands of years. Archeological evidence suggests that Chinese artisans were carving it as long ago as 3000 years or more. Also, it is a birthstone for the month of December.
