Description

Depicting “Corn Boy,” this intricate kachina doll was carved by Hopi artist Harold Nequatewa. The kachina stands on a notched, round cottonwood base. One foot is lifted slightly off the ground. Corn boy holds a rattle in one hand and an ear of corn in the other, his waist sinched with a sash and a garment flowing beneath painted in red, green, brown, tan and white. A turquoise colored necklace is hung around his neck, while feathers protrude from the sides and top of the head. The top of the head also features ears of corn and a flower, with the entire back of the head and neck showcasing additional feathers.

Dimensions: 11 3/4″ tall x 3 3/4″ wide x 4″ deep.
