Laguna Burger logoWhen I am heading to Zuni or Gallup, the road trip state of mind kicks in around Laguna Pueblo, usually with a stop at Laguna Burger, which is located at the gas station. That is also the exit to get on Historic Route 66 rather than the highway, which is my preferred route. They are known for their “World Famous Laguna Burger,” which is a burger, topped with a generous amount of flavorful green chile. Cheese is optional.

Laguna Burger | Fresh, Never Frozen

Laguna Burger with green chileLaguna Burgers are always fresh, never frozen, and cooked to order, consisting of a half-pound of seasoned ground beef. They serve the burgers on locally baked buns, with lettuce, tomato, onions, and New Mexico certified green chile. Delicious, particularly with a side of onion rings or red chile smothered french fries. However, if you happen to pass by before lunch, the breakfast burritos are also tasty.

After a decade of establishing the reputation and brand at the original location, Laguna Burger has embarked on steady expansion beyond Laguna Pueblo over the last few years, with multiple locations statewide and plans for ongoing growth moving forward.
