Grandpa's Grill charbroiled chile smothered hamburgerGrandpa’s Grill serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner 6-days a week (closed on Sunday). It is best to arrive with an appetite, because the serving sizes are generous, with plenty to share with a companion or for a to-go follow up meal. The breakfasts are a good way to fuel up for the day. Options range from traditional fare, like pancakes and omelets to New Mexican favorites, like huevos rancheros and breakfast burritos slathered in flavorful red or green chile. Additionally, the coffee is good and the servers are attentive in terms of keeping the caffeine supply steady throughout the meal.

If you missed breakfast, this family-owned business specializes in charcoal-grilled burgers, chicken sandwiches and BBQ ribs and they have been doing it for 25 years. The burgers are OUTSTANDING. Southwest Burger is my favorite (so far).

Like many of the good options in Gallup, Grandpa’s Grill gets busy during peak hours, but don’t let the number of cars in the parking lot deter you. The dining room seats a lot of people and the service is fast.
